THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
A year
after the devastating flood
destroyed We Care Animal Rescue's St. Helena Refuge, our new facility
has been rebuilt, thanks to our community's generous donations,
outpouring of love and support!
The new building,
constructed on higher ground and raised sufficiently to avoid the
imminent threat of flooding, now ensures that our animals will never
again face the horrifying and life-threatening ordeal of freezing,
rapidly rising water.
We
could never have done it without you. From the invaluable
efforts of kind-hearted individuals to the incredible assistance of
St. Helena city leaders, we thank
each and every one of you who responded in our time of need.

We Care
Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization established in 1982. Our facility
serves as a refuge for homeless cats and dogs in the Napa Valley. We
foster and promote the general welfare of animals by caring for homeless
cats and dogs, finding homes for them and educating the public on animal
welfare in the Napa Valley. We are funded entirely by private donations
and fundraising efforts.
At our refuge
in St. Helena where we provide nurturing care for over 100 animals, we
abide by a "no-kill" philosophy. This means that any animal that is
accepted into our facility will remain until a loving home can be found.
Some are with us for two weeks, others for their entire
lives.
While they reside
here, their health and comfort is our utmost priority. |

All human efforts at We Care are made
entirely on behalf of the precious animals in our care.
Our refuge's accommodations includes a
spacious air-conditioned building where the adult cats roam freely, lounge
in plush beds, or stroll outside to a fully enclosed yard. This is the
most popular place among the cats, filled with beds perfect for lounging
in the sunshine and enjoying lots of fresh air. There is also a separate
building for our senior or convalescent
cats. The dogs at We Care
live in comfortable surroundings. They spend their time romping in a large
yard, hanging out with their human buddies or snoozing on one of
countless beds in their building. They enjoy frequent walks and can dip in
their play pools when it's hot. |
