Save a life!!!!!!! We are working to save cats' lives from shelters where they face euthanasia and you can help. Hundreds of shy undersocialized cats face death every year at the county facility; we are trying to find them safe homes where they can be outdoor garden cats. Feral cats are wonderful to have around your property and they are a pleasure to watch. They do not require much but we do ask that people make a commitment to their wellbeing by providing them with fresh food and water daily for their lifetime. We are searching for homes that are away from busy roads. In return for saving their lives they will keep your garden beautiful by providing you with a natural solution for rodent control.

Shawna loves human company. Other kitties? They're beneath her dignity. She would be thrilled if someone had room in their home and heart for her.and preferably, to her, only her.
Marvin started out as a feral kitten. But that ruse didn't last long. This teenager decided in a few short weeks that people are so much fun that there is just no reason to play coy with them! Marvin is feisty, playful, inquisitive and now one of the friendliest kitties we have the pleasure of loving every day. No matter how many other felines are around Marvin plants himself on a human lap and doesn't let anyone faze him.
Brit is a cat with beauty and spunk all rolled into one. She loves to let you pet her amazingly soft coat and when she has had enough attention she will let you know it is time to move on.
Tia was left to fend for herself when her humans moved away. Thanks to a good Samaritan she has found her way to our refuge. This gentle, demure girl has won over the hearts of all the humans immediately and now she is working hard on making feline friends. What a darling!
Taylor is a laid back and sweet boy. This older Maine Coon charmer is reserved at first and needs a gentle understanding human to bring out his lovable and loving nature. He is friendly and purrs softly when you pet him. Taylor also adores treats and will nudge your hand for one more, please. He does not like loud noises (but what kitty does?) and shies away from boisterous activities. He would do best in a quiet adult only environment.
Dublin is a handsome fellow. He is friendly, laid back and independent. Dublin won't beg for affection but he loves to be petted and talks back to you in appreciation.
Noelle is a little sweetheart. Just a few months old but already very proficient at putting a smile on your face. She loves to cuddle and to get a little behind the ear massage.
Neil is a shy kitten at first. Once he gets to know you he relaxes and becomes a little affectionate purr-ball. With patient loving he will certainly grow into a confident adult.
Matea -- yes, an orange female! -- had been living on the streets and we got her after she'd been mauled by some animal. This made her reserved initially, but now she is coming out of her shell and is quite the affectionate cuddlebug.
Koala Bear is a young man with a gentle soul. Koala Bear pretended to be a feral when he got here but that ruse didn’t last long. He is so sweet, so mellow and friendly that we are quite sure he is a little angel in kitty disguise. He would do best in a quiet, adult home.
Please always view the Napa County Animal Shelter's website as well for animals awaiting loving homes. |
Spooky is a cat with personality to spare! Huge, fluffy and friendly - we think that he is a Maine Coon crossed with a puppy! Spooky follows humans around, is very intelligent and playful.
Vienna is a very gentle beauty. You just have to stop and stare at this gorgeous girl, but she would love for you to scratch her neck while you take in her loveliness.
Angela is such a nice tortoiseshell kitty. Playful, sweet and very friendly, Angela is waiting for someone special to love her. She will follow you around and let you know she loves you too.
Junebug is a love. This petite kitty was living under a house and mistaken for a wild cat! The only thing wild about her is her desire to find a loving home where she will be cuddled, stroked and told how special she is. Junebug is one of the rare kitties who will forego treats and toys just to be petted and cuddled by her humans.
Gretel is a small girl with huge amounts of love to give. A dilute tortie and a polydactyl (that's 6 toes on every foot!) Gretel has personality and then some! She is friendly, affectionate and a devoted friend. But she also has an independent streak. When Gretel wants to be alone she'll definitely let you know. When she wants to be loved (or to get treats) she'll make herself clear also. She'll make a phenomenal companion for the feline connoisseur. Byron or Lord Byron as he wishes to be addressed is such a cool cat! He is friendly, serene and regal, as befits feline royalty. He loves to play and for showing off his prowess he demands that his human retinue pay him tribute with treats and lengthy chin rubs. Gabe is among the most friendly, gentle and attention-loving cats we have had the privilege of knowing. If you are looking for a dog in a cat's body, he's your guy. He loves everyone, except other cats but that might be because he is so hungry for human affection that he is overwhelmed here, with over 100 other competitors.
Keiko came in as a skittish kitten and has blossomed over the months into a confident, friendly and very playful youngster. She is still weary of strangers and takes a while to adjust to new situations, but once comfortable, she is an absolute delight!
![]() Domino is a very precious 3 year old rescued kitty. She is a declawed, very affectionate cat who loves to be pet (however she does not like to be held). Domino is a sweet and sensitive girl who is looking for a quiet home where she can be the only animal.
Madonna is young and playful. Don't let her graceful feminine look fool you -- she is a firecracker. Madonna is friendly, inquisitvie and very very affectionate. Because of her white coat she needs to be an indoor-only kitty.
Diva is one special girl. Her name says it all – she likes to be the center of attention. She is healthy, intelligent and adorable. Diva is FIV positive. This test result may mean that she has FIV (a disease that studies are beginning to show is far less consequential than originally thought) or that she has simply been vaccinated against FIV, which will forever give a positive test marker – a more likely scenario for a female. Because there is no way of differentiating, as a precaution Diva will have to be an indoor only kitty. |
